Transportation Officer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Make daily and weekly planning of transportation schedules for buying and selling scraps.
- Inspect all vehicles before leaving for work and monthly reports for maintenance of cars. (driver wearing complete uniform, training, & daily vehicles check for ensuring the company standard.
- Keep documents currents such as vehicles registration, insurance, and daily report inspection report.
- Take fast action and ready for emergency planning for transportation per customer request.
- Hire, train, and supervise driver for the jobs
- Trucks repairs and cost as part of monitoring and overseeing the repair process.
- Backup driver if required
Basic Requirement:
- Minimum 2 years experience managing a transportation & logistics department/company
- Strong connections with local suppliers for rent trucks to ensure the best price & cost saving.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent Planning skills
- Proven ability to manage, and follow up quickly with multi-tasking skills
- Understanding of government regulations and policies of transportation services.
- Must able to use MS Office
- Must be able to work as a team and coordinate with other departments.
- University degree
- Personally know how to use GPS, Address and supervise to drivers for going to the right location
